Stahl was hired as the construction manager to oversee 1.4 million SF of renovations and 230,000 SF of additions to 13 schools in the Mounds View School District.  This program in its entirety included eight elementary schools, three middle schools, and two high schools. 

At the height of construction, eight projects were under way simultaneously, each staffed with an on-site field superintendent, and in some cases multiple superintendents.  Each project consisted of multiple phases, and nearly all schools remained occupied during construction. 

The building program set out to improve indoor air quality, enhance building security, compensate for overcrowding, adhere to fire marshall mandates, and address bus/car safety issues at each of the schools in the Mounds View School District.  Special features of the entire building program included a 500-seat auditorium, four new gymnasiums, new science lab classrooms, and new athletic fields.
