Originally scheduled to open on April 28, 2001, Stahl completed the 130-room Residence Inn project 30 days early in time to receive guests for the NCAA Final Four at the Metrodome. The hotel expected to sell out with dignitaries from Marriott and ESPN. In addition, after the project was bid and awarded, the owner decided to add $500,000 of lobby upgrades to the design. These added pressures required the project team to perform at an extremely high level throughout the entire project in order to meet the owner’s expectations. Amenities include an ornate entrance lobby, hearth room, billiard room, and fireplace suites.
