Hamline Midway Public Library

This modern 10,000 SF facility will serve as a vibrant community hub, offering access to advanced technology, educational resources, and diverse programs. Highlights include an outdoor reading garden, an interactive play area for children, study and meeting rooms, a wellness room, a teen area, and space for public art. The one-story design with low shelving ensures accessibility for all visitors while fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment that reflects the neighborhood’s culture.

In honoring its history, the City and Saint Paul Public Libraries will preserve elements of the former library, such as the stone archway and cornerstone, thoughtfully incorporating them into the new structure. This state-of-the-art facility is poised to become a cornerstone for community engagement, learning, and cultural celebrations in Saint Paul.
