The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is a state-of-the-art facility supporting a wide range of law enforcement functions. It is has dedicated areas for patrol, administration, civil and transport, criminal investigation, records management, SWAT team, water rescue unit, and special operations.

In line with the State of Minnesota’s commitment to sustainability, the project strictly adhered to the Buildings, Benchmarks & Beyond (B3) guidelines. These guidelines ensure that the construction and operation of the building meet high standards of environmental responsibility and energy efficiency.

Revolutionizing Forensic Science

The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office represents a significant step forward in law enforcement infrastructure, combining cutting-edge technology, comprehensive facilities, and a commitment to sustainability. It stands as a testament to the ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and justice in Anoka County. A significant feature of this project is the inclusion of a new tri-county Regional Forensic Lab. This lab is the first of its kind in the nation, equipped with advanced capabilities for fingerprint analysis, drug testing, DNA analysis, and other forensic disciplines. This addition marks a significant advancement in the field of forensic science, enhancing the ability of law enforcement agencies to solve crimes more efficiently and accurately.
