Panoway on Wayzata Bay

The Panoway on the Bay project is a collaborative initiative between the City of Wayzata, Three Rivers Park District, and Stahl. The project’s primary focus is the revitalization of the lakefront area in Wayzata, create a public plaza, and extend the Dakota Rail Regional Trail, thereby enhancing the areaís pedestrian and bicycle-friendly attributes.

The project faced initial challenges with two public bids exceeding the budget. To address this, the City of Wayzata engaged Stahl and adopted a Construction Management Agency delivery method to manage costs more effectively. Through strategic changes in the bidding method and restructuring of work scopes, the project was successfully brought in under budget.
